Origin and Exclusivity: The ClassiK Petite Poutargue by Koskas & Fils is a quintessence of luxury and tradition. Coming from the clear waters of the Mediterranean, each mullet roe is selected with extreme rigor to guarantee unparalleled quality. Delicately wrapped in natural wax, this bottarga offers optimal preservation, making it a rarity sought after by connoisseurs.
Artisanal Preparation: Each stage of the preparation is a meticulous ballet that takes place in our workshops in France. Without the addition of preservatives and certified kosher lePessah, our Poutargue is the fruit of know-how passed down through the generations, intended to capture the pure essence of the mullet.
Exceptional Gastronomy: Recognized by starred chefs and gastronomes, the Poutargue ClassiK Petite with Wax is a must-have for any table desiring sophistication and authenticity. Its buttery texture and deeply umami taste transform each tasting into an unforgettable moment.
Tasting Ideas
Enjoy the thinly sliced Bottarga on warm toast drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. This traditional method allows the complex aromas and salty richness of the mullet to be released.
Include it in your pasta or risotto recipes for a refined taste or offer it as an aperitif, accompanied by champagne or a dry, mineral white wine for perfect harmony.
Experiment with lemon zest or fresh herbs to accentuate its maritime character, offering an explosion of flavors that will delight your guests.
Consumer Advice
Boutargue should be enjoyed at room temperature to better appreciate its richness. Make sure to remove it from the refrigerator an hour before tasting to allow the aromas to fully develop.
Slice it delicately with a sharp knife to preserve its delicate texture and visual integrity, thus ensuring an impeccable presentation.
The combination with simple, high-quality ingredients such as artisan bread or dried fruits allows you to highlight its unique flavor without masking it.
Storage Tips
Store your bottarga in a cool, dry place in the refrigerator, at a constant temperature between 2°C and 4°C. The wax plays a key role in protecting against oxidation and helps maintain the organoleptic qualities of the bottarga.
The natural wax that envelops our Poutargue ClassiK Petite is specially designed to prolong its freshness. Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct light and temperature variations.
If unopened, it can be stored for 3 to 5 months thanks to its wax protection, but once opened, it is advisable to consume it within a few days to benefit from its optimal qualities.
Avoid contact with air as much as possible to preserve its texture and taste, using plastic wrap to cover any remaining product.
